HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM HJEM

my friend Matthew Vrabel and I have started working on a small DIY recording collective called FUCK MY LIFE records.  visit it here: myspace.com/fuckmyliferecords.
the Arto record will now be distributed, in addition to on our own myspace page, on the FUCK MY LIFE page.

in addition to Arto's record, I have just finished my own collection of recordings, the Hjem EP.  my musical project is named Castles.  my myspace is myspace.com/lecarnaval.  the EP comes in a hand-made case, with either a random collection of a few of my original poems or a small printing of my short story, MILK AND HONEY.  the release will also come out through FUCK MY LIFE and my own myspace.  cost: a mere five american dollars.

in the very near future, my record will also be available in digital release form through MINE, ALL MINE! records, which is run by John, a friend we made through Myles in Madison.  MINE, ALL MINE! specializes in experimental, ambient, and electronic music.  lots of good things happening.  the url is myspace.com/mineallminerecords.

this album art may or may not be featured for hard copies, but for the digital release, the album art stands as:

I am out of breath.

COMMUNIQUÉ

good morning, comrades.
who reads this?
I do.
do you?
oh well.
no matter.
Myles would be happy right now--my roommate keeps playing the first four seconds of each song off of mellon collie and the infinite sadness.
but I digress.
thank you to everyone who came to the basement show two saturdays ago, and thank you especially to BEYOND THIS LIFE (myspace.com/beyondthislifemusic) and RAINY DAY GRIZZLIES (myspace.com/rainydaygrizzlies) for playing.
we played three songs that are newer than those off of our first record (WHICH PEOPLE SHOULD STILL BE BUYING/STEALING FROM FRIENDS/BURNING AND GIVING TO FRIENDS).
the new songs:
THE KNIFE
AUNT TRACY IS DEAD (IN HER WHEEL CHAIR)*
PROMISED LAND!
* = Jamie, if I have this song title wrong, tell me, please.
this winter holiday season we have a few musical events planned.
one is going to be street performances to benefit salvation army.
additionally, we have a super special holiday basement show in the early stages of planning.
so there are things to keep that old chin up for.
